Through our Mother’s Day Special Workshop Series, we were able to raise approx. $200 to donate to NJ Hospitals! We had loads of fun creating Mother’s Day gifts with you. Most of all, we loved partying together on Mother’s Day. Please enjoy some pictures from our time together below.
Mother’s Day 2020 was a very different one! The world has been facing the unknown for the past couple of months and while everyone is confined to the home, we wanted to help make mom’s day special and keep the children creatively active through our youth workshops. This Mother’s Day weekend, Team Artezen Youth ran a three day special workshop series ending with a fun mother-child activity on Mother’s Day. Although a fee was not necessary and completely voluntary, a $10 fee per participant was suggested. All proceeds collected went towards providing a breakfast for Healthcare Heroes – a staff unit of 25 at the Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital of Somerset. The breakfast was ordered from a local restaurant as part of our three-fold approach to help the community during these chaotic times. We had an amazing three days and the children got very creative with their handmade creations for mom
- Day 1: We made colorful cards for Mom
- Day 2: We painted rocks for our Rocking Moms
- Day 3: We celebrated Mother’s Day with Mom making a vase-full of crafty paper flowers

Fee donations for Mother’s Day Workshops and other COVID-Times Workshops enabled us to donate a second meal to Healthcare Heroes. Seeing a smile on the faces that are serving on the front line is our encouragement to continue our mission of serving the community with creativity!
